New Record of Thoracophelia japonica (Annelida, Opheliidae) from South Kore

초록

An opheliid polychaete Thoracophelia japonica (Misaka and Sato, 2003), originally described from Japan, is newly recorded from South Korea. The Korean specimens corresponded well to the original description of T. japonica, originally described as Euzonus japonicus, in having 15 pairs of palmatifid branchiae occurring on setigers 12-26, a pair of lateral transverse rows bearing 8-10 dorsal and 2-3 ventral conical cirri present on setiger 10, ventral conical cirri starting from chaetiger 9, pygidium with lateral lobes fringed with 6-8 anal cirri on each side and a minute midventral anal cirrus, and the absence of a pygidial midventral plate.
