Case 1; We present herein the case of 1 53-year-old woman found to have a pleomorphic adenoma or so-called mixed tumor, of the breast. The patient presented with a hard mass, 2cm in diameter, located just beneath the left areola. Macroscopically, the excised mass was well circumscribed and the cut surface was homogeneously yellowish-white. Miscroscopically, the tumor was clearly demarcated with a focal fibrous capsule and composed of epithelial and mesenchymal components with chondromyxoid areas. Mitosis and anaplasia were not identified within the tumor. Case 2; Schwannoma arising within breast parenchyme is rare. We report a case of a 23-year-old woman presented with a palpable mass of right breast for 2 years. Macroscopically, the excised mass showed well-defined with fibrous capsule, and the cut surface was reddish yellow and myxoid with numerous small cystic spaces containing blood. Miscroscopically, the tumor had alternating cellular and paucicellular areas with characteristic palisading and spindle-shaped nuclei forming Verocay bodies. The tumor stained with S-100 protein. As pleomorphic adenoma and schwannoma are rare benign tumors in the breast, these cases have been mistaken for malignant tumor or fibroadenoma, clinically. Thus an awareness of these diseases in the breast will help to prevent misdiagnosis and overaggressive surgery.
