‘SERES, SERICIN’ originated from ‘SIRA’ of GoJoseon and two Geums
초록
The terms ‘Sericin and Silk’ came from the ancient words of ‘Suksin/Silla/Sira’ of GoJoseon and ‘Silkurry 실꾸리’ of Goguryeo respectively and the fanciest silk, Kyung-Geum was developed in 11th century B.C. of Go-Joseon near Balhae. ? during GoJoseon’s golden age around 9th century BC, UYang(YuJu, current 北京 Beijing) near Joyang (朝陽) was an international market city and silk fabrics and Kyung-Geum were spread to Central Asia and all over the world via grass land silk road. ? GoJoseon was a developed society which was governed by law and order, especially through the eight major laws (8條禁法), and the people led a prosperous life through hunting, fishing, trading and cultivating crops and trading silks. ? GoJoseon was a very civilized and colorful society near BalHae Bay providence. This cultural bloom and the advanced society structure are acknowledged as the ancient BalHae GoJoseon civilization. ? Kyung-Geum is a relatively thick dense silk fabric, and its pattern of the shapes of cloud, antler, swirling objects with gorgeous thick end-curved lines, was proved as northern tribe’s typical pattern. 7 proofs were presented two Kyung-Guem were made by GoJoseon people BC2nd century.
