Smart Organic Materials for Flexible Electronic Applications

초록

Organic semiconductors have been intensively studied in recent decades as potential alternatives to conventional inorganic semiconductors for low-cost, large-area, and flexible electronics applications. As a result, there have been significant advance in organic-based electronics. For multi-layered organic electronic devices, various organic materials have been used as interface components to optimize these electrical performance and environmental stability, etc. Here, preferential crystal structures of π-conjugated organic semiconductors, as the key factors in high-performance organic field-effect transistors and photovoltaics, have been introduced via controlling the interface between the semiconductor and the substrate. Also, various organic or organic/inorganic hybrid layers have been demonstrated as excellent gate dielectric, passivation, and anti-reflection layers to realize flexible organic electronics.
