비장에 생긴 littoral 세포 혈관종 -1예 보고-

초록

Splenic tumors are relatively rare and difficult to diagnose preoperatively whether they are malignant or benign. The most common primary tumors of the spleen are benign and originate from the vascular endothelium. Splenic vascular tumors including hemangioma, littoral cell angioma(LCA), hamartoma, and angiosarcoma are rare lesions that are usually discovered incidentally. LCA is originated from the lining cells of the red-pulp sinuses, so called littoral cells. The etiology and natural history of LCA are unclear until now. It is predominantly in adults, but has been reported in children. The littoral cell has the features that lie intermediate between endothelial and histiocytic/macrophagic cell. We experienced a case of littoral cell angioma in the spleen of a 60-year-old male. Herein, the first case of a LCA in Korea, diagnosed and treated by a splenectomy, is reported.
