PURPOSE/AIM: The purpose of our study is to show imaging finding of acute compartment syndrome in CT and MRI. CONTENT ORGANIZATION: 1.Definition, pathophysiology, cause, and incidence of acute and chronic compartment syndrome 2.Clinical significance of diagnosis of acute compartment syndrome focused on treatment plan and prognosis 3.CT and MRI finding of acute compartment syndrome focused on -Enhancement pattern -Muscle change including edema, hemorrhage, and convexity of compartment -Deep fascial abnormality -Change in subcutaneous fat layer 4.Differential diagnoses of acute compartment syndrome incl SUMMARY: The peripheral nodular enhancement, convexity of muscles in involved compartment, relatively paucity of swelling in subcutaneous fat layer could be useful imaging finding of acute compartment syndrome on CT and MRI
