지방자치단체의 지역기반 디자인교육 사례 연구

초록

Recently, the necessity of design education is increasingly recognized, and in that accord, various types of design education are being conducted in diverse institutions. In this study, the type of education with the following characteristics is defined as “regional-based design education”. First, locally based design education is characterized by local community and is based on the common consciousness and cultural experience of the community. Second, this type of design education pursues mutually circulative relationship among local residents and design experts. Third, the design education is intended to be organized to contribute to the development of local community and improvement of daily life of locals. And this study intents to examine the status, necessity, suggestions an improvements of locally based design education through case analysis on the citizens design academy and youth design camps of Incheon metro city concucted for the first time in 2010.
