공항시설의 효율적 활용에 대한 평가: 김포국제공항을 중심으로

Over the last few years, the major airports in Asia have been operating at or close to their capacity. As a result, Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia took the decision to expedite the development of new airports. According to these new development airports, some of exist airports have been completely closed to convert other functions and purposes and the others operated as a domestic airport. In the latter case, some of idle facilities are needed the re-development plans. This paper presents a comparison and evaluation for the alternative options for re-development of airport idle facilities as a planning concern and the implemented options for airport re-development plan as a performance aspect in case of Seoul Gimpo International Airport. The methodology proposed in this paper can provide a practical and applicable comparison and evaluation of airport re-development plan. Firstly, evaluation of the best option of the airport re-development using a fuzzy linguistic approach and is based on airport experts, passengers, and peripheral community’s points view. The evaluation had carried out several years before when airport re-development plan had not been completed. Secondly, measurement of actual implementation for the airport re-development plans comparing with the best option by related customers’ perception Therefore, the researchers compared the best options by customers’ perception with actual implemented re-developing facilities during the first two years of Gimpo International Airport after inauguration of new airport, Incheon International Airport in the Seoul Metropolitan region.
