초록
This paper presents a rigid-plastic finite element method to handle the frictional contact problem between two deformable bodies experiencing a large deformation based on the penalty method. The basic formulations for the finite element analysis are briefly summarized, and the frictional behaviors between two deformable bodies are described and implemented into the finite element program. The present paper aims at combing penalty method with the variational formulation of frictional contact problems. The main idea is to apply impenetrability condition as a penalty function for the relative velocity, i.e. enforces the velocity components as the identical ones along the contact surface
