인천 내항의 역사문화지구 조성에 관한 비판적 고찰

초록

The study aims at criticizing the indiscreet urban regeneration policy for constituting a so called "historic and cultural district" under the name of history and culture in the period of globalization, and seeking for a sound strategy to re-create a native but substantial community in our time. The main argument is focused on the criticism on Incheon city government's unconditional and superficial regionalism to restore the relics of old settlement area located in the Inner harbor territory, and on an open and inclusive method based on the sense of presence and place, which inclines to singularity in association with general understanding.
