Successful desensitization of polyethylene glycol, a widelyt used component of colonic cleansing agent

We present a case with a hypersensitivity reaction to PEG with positive HR test. We used a successful and rapid protocol for desensitizaton to PEG, it reduces basophil histamine releasibility effectively and allows successful colonoscopic examination in patient with allergy to PEG. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a PEG desensitization portocol, which is safe and higly convenient.
