구도심 교통섬을 활용한 복합커뮤니티 공간에 관한 연구-인천시 숭의로터리와 시장로터리를 중심으로

초록

The purpose of this study is to present a method of community space construction using traffic islands at the old urban revolving intersection. The plan, which was reorganized into a pedestrian-oriented community space targeting Soongui Rotary and Bupyeong Market Rotary, was compared and analyzed to the characteristics. As a result of the study, space and cores should be planned according to the size of the traffic island and entry should be connected naturally. In addition, it is appropriate to plan both community spaces and commercial facilities and secure external vision from the perspective of pedestrians.
