Cardiac differentiation of mesenchymal stem cell derived from human teeth
초록
Recently, using tissue engineering for regenerative medicine is focus on the method for damaged organs to regenerating. Adult stem cells not have the risk of ethical problems and autoimmunity. Also adult stem cells differentiate into various type cells according to different culture conditions. Adult stem cells can be obtained from various organizations as bone marrow, fat, cord blood, and periosteum. In recent years, researches associated with the mesenchymal stem cells obtained from human teeth are actively underway. But the mesenchymal stem cells obtained from teeth differentiate to cardiac cell related researches are still insufficient. In this experiment, the expression levels are measured using RT-PCR and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) techniques for characterizing of mesenchymal stem cell derived from human teeth. To induce differentiation into cardiac cells use co-culture with cardiac muscle cells. Through the results of this study, the cardiac cell of teeth derived mesenchymal stem cells differentiate confirms the possibility of mesenchymal stem cell derived from teeth differentiate to cardiac cell. To increase the rate of cardiac cell differentiation, future studies are needed.
