Development of Ice Impact Equipment and Impact Simulation Model for Verification of Material Properties
초록
The ice load is the most important consideration of the design of ship or offshore structures operating in arctic environment. The deformation or failure of the structure is caused by the interaction that between ice and structure. In this study, the impact pendulum equipment was manufactured to test the toughness and impact resistance of steel which is subjected to ice impact. The experiments are small scale test for impact resistance properties. So, in further study, ice impact experiment is applied for validation of FEA. And the final goal of this study the assesment for structure at real scale through the validated FEA.
