Ventilation of Intermediate water in the East Sea

초록

The existing ventilation theory developped by LPS is applied to the East Sea to understand the circulation in the East Sea. Major modifications are the inflow-outflow system of the Basin considered. It is found that the wind stress curl plays an important role in subduction of the newly formed Intermediate Water down to southern portion of the basin across the polar front.
