Experimental Tests for Evaluation of Energy Dissipation Capacity of a Double Split Tee Connection with SMA Bolts
초록
A double split tee connection, which is suitable for ordinary or special moment frames through a combination of beam and column members, provides different behavior characteristics depending on the geometric properties. This study was designed to establish the moment-rotation hysteresis curve, failure modes, and energy dissipation capacity of double split tee connections with SMA bolts. Towards this end, full-scale experimental tests were carried out. The geometric shape of the connection was selected so that the double split tee connection would fail through plastic deformation after the flexural yielding of the T-stub flanges or the tensile failure of the SMA bolts.
