CE-RSS for reactive validation of design rules

In the process of cooperative engineering design, various events occur from design units. In order to effectively manage design updates among collaborators, we use publish/subscribe mechanism. However existing publish/subscribe systems only have the simple subscription mechanism. In this paper we introduce a concurrent engineering environment where the publish/subscribe relationship can be established based on the product structure. Information about design changes is encoded in feed format using proposed CE-RSS. ? 2008 IEEE.
