초록

DME is considered as a kind of clean fuel in the 21th century because of its many advantages. Hence, increasing attention has been focused on DME synthesis. In this report, methanol dehydration to dimethylether(DME) has been investigated over ZSM-5 zeolites and compared with that of-g-alumina. The results show taht H-ZSM-5 and NaH-ZSM-5 zeolites were more active for the conversion of methanol to DME than g-alumina. NaH-ZSM-5 shows higher DME selectivity than H-ZSM-5 due to the selective removal of strong acid sites. Therefore, a good catalyst for DME synthesis can be developed by Na+ ion exchange of H-ZSM-5 zeolite.
