Knowledge sharing system using Mobile Agent: A case study of the Q&A board

As the recent growth in the Internet and its enabling technologies has provided unprecedented connectivity between people and computers, there are many Q&A bulletin boards. These boards are operated independently and have many platform types. By sharing the distributed answers of many Q&A bulletin boards on networks, we intend to solve the problem of duplicated questions that can arise when bulletin boards are operated independently. To overcome this problem, we use sharing techniques of answers. This system uses a Java-based agent system which retrieves heterogeneous and distributed knowledge. The mobile agent holds the know-how of the knowledge retrieval. It can be effectively adapted in Q&A boards which have various structures of a database layout. This system is focused on two techniques for evaluating the user’s answer. One is the feedback of the questioner which suggests an evaluation of the questioner about precision. The other is the answerer’s importance which is analyzed by importance in the site. These techniques are used for sorting answers by importance. In experiment, we will analyze the synergy effect in currently operated Q&A boards
