Methanol dehydration to DME on extremely stable catalyst SUZ-4

초록

Methanol dehydration to dimethyl ether(DME)has been investigated over HK-SUZ-4 zeolite. For comparison, γ-Al2O3 and H-ZSM-5 catalysts also have been investigated. HK-SUS-4 shows more staility and high DME selectivity in methanol dehydration. HK-SUZ-4 presents strong acid sites, compared with γ-Al2O3and H-ZSM-5 catalysts , and most of them belong to Bronst type. However, it gives high DME selectivity and stable catalytic activity. It might be ascribed that HK-SUZ-4 has a good enhurance for water and is coked difficultly. In case of H-ZSM-5 and γ-Al2O3 the activity decreased with time on stream. It might be due to coke and water poison. These results show HK-SUZ-4 has unique catalytic properties in methanol dehydration.
