Improvement of glass-metal interface wetting properties by aerosol deposition intermedia layer
초록
Because of industrial growth, device development has been continulusly conducted until now. According to improvement of devices, bonding between different materials becomes more important. However it is very hard to make bonding between different materials due to their unsimilar chemical/physical behaviors. To dissolve this problem, various bonding methods have been studied. Aerosol deposition (AD) technique is a room-temperature process based on shockloading solidification resulting from the impact of the fine particles on a substrate. AD can produce the strong physical bonding with substrate by anchoring the particles into substrate. In this work, intermediate layer was formed on stainless steel substrates. Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO-BaO-Al2O3 Glass was used bonding media. The microstructure and composition of the interface were characterized with SEM and EDX. Wetting property was measured with high temperature optical microscope. Bond strength was measured and compared with specimen that was bonded without AD layer.
