PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF PRE-ANALYTICAL MODULE OF ACL TOP 750 HEMOSTASIS MEASUREMENT

The pre-analytical module of ACL TOP 750 hemostasis measurement system detected most of hemolytic and icteric samples. This application could skip inspection of hemolytic and icteric specimens by laboratory technologists and reduce turnaround time in the end. Difference of triglyceride values could be caused by detection methods which are spectrophotometric and immunoassay. The degree of turbidity also does not correlate well with triglyceride concentration because the proportions of triglycerides are approximately 50% of very low-density lipoprotein and up to 85-90% of chylomicrons. Therefore, the term of turbidity, instead of lipemic, should be more precise as a pre-analytical module which is based on absorbance.
