Introduction & Objectives : Tranforming growth factor-b1 (BTG-b1) has been known to be involved in the pathogenesis of Peyronie's disease (PD). Therapeis aimed at blocking the TGF-b1 signal pathway might be efficacious in the treatment or prevention of fibrotic diseases. In this study, we investigated the therapeutic effect of small molecule inhibitor of TGF-b type1 receptor (TGFbRI) in an animal model of PD. Conclusions : We expect that intralesional therapy with TGFbRI inhibitor will undoubtedly be a curative and safe treatment modality in PD.
