초록
Purpose: This study reviewed literature discussing the impacts of Humanitude care on people with dementia, care workers, and their families, as well as associated caregiving practices. Method: A scoping review was conducted in accordance with the framework proposed by Arksey and O’Malley (2005), using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) template, and referencing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses-extension for scoping reviews (ScR) guidelines. Results: Sixteen studies were reviewed. Humanitude care education was standardized and implemented through both theoretical and practical sessions. Positive outcomes observed in people with dementia included improvements in behavior, daily living activities, mobility, cognition, pressure ulcer risk, well-being, and oral health. Care workers showed improved empathy, attitudes toward dementia, and practice of Humanitude care, while also experiencing reduced burnout. Families experienced reduced caregiver burden. The factors facilitating caregiving practice included a sense of responsibility, motivation, and accomplishment among care workers. Barriers to caregiving practice, on the other hand, arose from personal and institutional factors faced by care workers. Conclusion: This comprehensive review provides valuable insights related to Humanitude care impacts and practices.
