초록

The conversion of methane and carbon dioxide into high-value chemicals is a major challenge for the scientific community because both CO2 and CH4 are highly stable. Different groups are trying to convert these gases into high-value products; for instance, methanol, glycol, etc.[1] However, our group is interested in producing acetic acid?because it has great market values and has expected market value of 16,300 kilotons by next year?by direct reaction of both gases using some cheap and simple way.[2] Experimentally, many catalysts were developed, and sub-nanoscale alloy catalysts supported on mesoporous materials are explored as promising by different respect, but the performance of these catalysts is not long-lived.[3] The source of these problem remains unexplored. To design catalysts in an efficient way, it is necessary to generate the knowledge that will explore the answers to these questions and make the study systemic. We have performed the detailed mechanistic study to explore the problem that most sub-nano sized alloys have been facing and will be helpful for future catalysts development. For this purpose, we have chosen the experimentally well-studied CunPdm (n + m = 4) sub-nanometer clusters and ZSM-5 as a catalyst and support, respectively.
