Multicompartment Lipid Nanoparticle System For RNA Delivery

Liposomal-based drug delivery systems have been approved by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for disease treatment. Simultaneously, the application of various RNAs has been promoted, potentially expanding the therapeutic targets. Therefore, an efficient delivery system for RNA-based therapeutics is a requirement for therapeutic efficacy. In this study,we developed a multicompartmental lipid nanoparticle system that encapsulates LNPs containing RNAs within liposomes. The multiple LNPs encapsulated within liposomes can deliver multiple RNAs to the target simultaneously. This study provides a promising platform for the delivery of multiple RNAs, offering the potential for advances in the area of nucleic acid-based delivery systems.
