Subjectivity predictive model of emergency nurses' turnover intentions

The purpose of this study was to verify the validity of the structural model between the actual data and hypothetical model based on a Price and Muller's causal model of turnover for nurses and review the literature in older to identify the factors affecting the turnover intentions of emergency nurses. Exogeous variables, which were selected based on literature review, were experience of violences, traumatic events, nurse practice environment, professional self-concept, hardiness, and age. Endogenous variables included job satisfaction, professional quality of life, and trunover intention. The variables directly and totally affecting hardiness were experience of violences, professional self-concept, and age. The variables affecting turnover intention were professional self-concept, job satisfaction, and professioanl quality of life.
