Perturbation Method in Condensation for Eigenproblems

초록

A perturbation equation, which is based on a correction of the transformation matrix, is employed to push the condensation solution further to the exact one. The present study seeks to establish a simple and systematic derivation of the perturbation equation. The method proved to be effective and is recommended as a postprocessor of the condensation. Some of the nonlinear terms may be included to get more accurate solutions. However, integrated reduction methods such as the hybrid dynamic condensation are preferable.
