Design and Implementation of Platform for Small-Scale Smart Farm using Deep Learning

초록

Global environmental pollution and warming cause abnormal climate changes and significantly negatively impactagricultural productivity. These impacts have resulted in a decrease in the income of farm households. At the sametime, the aging of farm households has led to productivity shortages. To solve this problem, this study proposes asmall smart farm system that uses artificial intelligence. A small smart farm was designed and fabricated, and deeplearning algorithms were implemented on this platform. Using deep learning algorithms, small smart farmsreconfigured the environmental control strategy of home plant cultivation equipment. The specific environmentalcontrol method involved adjusting the temperature by controlling the ventilation fan, adjusting the humidity bycontrolling the spray nozzle, and adjusting the amount of light by controlling the LED lighting. Therefore, the smartfarm system aims to effectively increase productivity and improve convenience for farm households that are facingdifficulties owing to aging and climate change by combining agriculture and information and communicationstechnology (ICT).
