Study of Frictionand Shear Damping Effect of Magnetorheological Elastomer
초록
Magnetorheological elastomer(MRE) is one of MR material family, which the material properties can be varied by magnetic field strength. Recently study of shear deformation characteristic had been done broadly. Fan Y et al. [1] focused on interfacial friction damping effects which energy dissipates between magnetic particles and base materials. Furthermore, MRE’s shear deformation characteristics was studied [2]. However, frictional conditions occur frequently while deformation situation, investigation on frictional situation had been done not enough. D.W.Lee et al. [3] had studied friction coefficient variation with different magnetic field strength. By tracing energy dissipation characteristics of friction and shear deformation combined situation, MRE can be applied to various mechanical devices such as friction dampers and brakes. To achieve the characteristics, linear sliding experiment device was implemented.
