Intelligent Infrastructure Approach for Autonomous Parking Systems using V2I Communications

As population growth is increasing rapidly so the number of cars and other vehicles, one of the most important problems is the development of an efficient parking system. Modern technologies have enabled the rapid development in autonomous valet parking (AVP) systems. However, achieving efficiency in case of multiple cars trying to avoid collision while parking simultaneously in congested parking area is still a challenge. The intelligent infrastructure approach which includes sensing, Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) equipped road-side unit (RSU) and parking management system can achieve efficient AVP. In this paper we have considered the existing technologies for DRL based path planning and proposed a solution for AVP using intelligent infrastructure approach.
