유아 그림책에 나타난 죽음의 인지적 개념 및 정서적 특성

The purpose of this study is to clarify the content and aspects of death in children's picture books by analyzing it from a cognitive and emotional perspective and to help understand it. For this purpose, we analyzed the cognitive and emotional characteristics of death in picture books. The objects of this study are 60 children's picture books related to death published in Korea. This study used content analysis and theme analysis to analyze death in children's picture books. The results of the study were as follows. First, the cognitive concept of death varied in the concept of finality, universality, causality, and non-corporeal continuation. Second, the emotional characteristics of death appeared to be numbness, yearning and searching, disorganization and despair, and reorganization. Although this study analyzed death in children's picture books by dividing it into cognitive concepts and emotional characteristics, each result was correlated. In this study, only the picture book was analyzed, but expert discussions are needed on how to interact with children with the tool of picture books.
