Multi-level Recovery for Main-Memory Real-Time Database Systems with ECBH

Storing the whole database in main-memory is a common method to process real-time database systems. In main-memory real-time database systems, recovery mechanism affecting transaction concurrency has a main influence upon their performance. Recovery mechanism for main-memory real-time database systems(MMRTDBS) should reflect the characteristics of this paper, therefore, we propose a multi-level recovery mechanism for main-memory real-time database systems with extendible chained bucket hashing (ECBH). Due to the occurrence of real-time data in real-time systems, we should also consider it in our recovery mechanism. According to our performance test, this mechanism can improve the transaction concurrency, reducing transactions’ deadline miss rate.
