초록

The functional neck dissection(FND) is an adequate oncologic surgical tool for selected head and neck cancers. Although preservation of an internal jugular vein(IJV) is beneficial, particularly in bilateral neck dissection, there are few studies about the rate of patency of the preserved vessel or the possible factors associated with its occlusion. We examined IJV patency following FND performed in various head and neck cancers and identified factors related to venous occlusion.
