Virtual Endoscopy Using Volume Rendering Technique

초록

In order to implement virtual endoscopy, high-speed rendering algorithm that produces accurate perspective projection images, interactive classification, efficient collision detection and navigation methods are essential. In this paper we present an efficient virtual endoscopy system using volume rendering technique based on distance information. Also we propose an interactive classification method for the distance-based rendering. Using the distance information, we can simplify the collision detection of volumetric objects and generate optimal navigation path.
