대퇴골에 발생한 랑거한스세포 조직구종 -1예 보고-

초록

We experienced a case of Langerhans cell histiocytosis in left femoral neck of 3-year old boy. One month before admission, the patient had had progressive limping gait. A computed tomograpgy of the hip showed an osteolytic lesion with bony destruction in left femoral neck. Magnetic resonance image of the hip showed an infiltrative lesion which measured about 2.0cm in diameter and 4.0cm in length and focal cortical destruction. Fine needle aspiration cytology and needle biopsy were performed. Cytologically, the smears showed a moderate number of eosinophils, mononuclear histiocyte-like cells and a few multinucleated giant cells. Mononuclear histiocyte-like cells revealed abundant cytoplasms, oval nuclei and prominent nuclear groove parallel to the long axis of the nucleus ("coffee-bean" nuclei). Some of the nuclei had oval or round nucleoli. Immunohistochemically, these histiocytic cells were strong positive for S-100 protein. Histologic confirmation was done.
