초록
This paper describes the characteristics of power loss, and leakage currents flowing through new and deteriorated zinc oxide(ZnO) arrester elements under mixed DC and AC voltage. The I-V curves of ZnO arrester elements were measured as a function of the voltage ratio K. The test specimen was deteriorated by 8/20us impulse current of 2.5kA. In the case of same applied voltage, leakage current flowing through the deteriorated ZnO arrester elements was higher than that of new ZnO arrester elements. The cross-over phenomenon in I-V curves under mixed DC and AC voltage was observed. The effect of the leakage current flowing ZnO arrester elements on DC voltage is pronounced at same test voltage level
