아동의 발달 단계 특성에 대응하는 어린이 병원 외래부의 어린이 공간 계획 연구

초록

This research examines the design of children’s space in the outpatient clinics in four children’s hospitals based on child's behavioral development characteristics. Children’s areas in the common spaces of the outpatient’s clinics were examined based on four child's development stages and expected behavioral characteristics. Waiting, play, reading, and computer station spaces were the most commonly facilitated children’s spaces. However, they were primarily designed for pre-schoolers and early-schoolers, locations were limited near by main lobby areas on the ground floors, and applied design elements were restricted to colors, furniture, and relevant equipments. Based on the results, new design approaches for children’s spaces were suggested to support children in all developmental stages in children's hospitals.
