Study of the Ehd1independent flowering pathway in rice
초록
Transitioning from the vegetative to the reproductive growth is one of the most important processes contribute to grain yield in rice. Under inductive conditions, flowering is induced by rice florigenes Hd3a and RFT1 induced by Ehd1, a grassspecific major activator. However, it is still necessary to study the function of this gene and how the flowering is promoted when this gene does not function. To study the function of Ehd1, we generated ehd1 mutants using CRISPRCas9 which showed a 20day delay in flowering compared to WT under natural field conditions. To investigate the Ehd1 independent flowering mechanism, we performed SD treatments on 40day old WT and ehd1 mutants initially grown under longday LD conditions.
