A Study on PCF File based AR/VR Model Generation

초록

This paper presents a method to generate three-dimensional AR/VR model by using the information of piping component file (PCF), and which is one of output files when ISOGEN produce a piping isometric drawing. Piping isometric drawing is used for installation of pipelines in construction site, therefore the drawing describes with not a detailed geometry feature but a symbolic feature. PCF file specified relationships between piping route and components with three-dimensional points and tag data as well as bill of materials of a pipeline to produce isometric drawing. The key idea of this paper is that AR/VR model can be generated with the piping route points data and piping component tag data in real-time without any converting to standard data exchange format file such as STP, IGES, SAT, and so on. This paper suggests PCF file’s data structure and suggest the geometry generation process of PCF file data with parametric functions.
