Hysteresis behavior of built-up square tubular beam-columns

초록

As building structures become higher and longer-spanned the frequency of high performance steel is gradually increased. This paper presents results from a systematic three-dimensional nonlinear finite element study on the structural behavior of built-up square tubular beam-columns of high strength steel (HSA800) subjected to various magnitudes of concentric compressive axial loads and cyclic loadings laterally at the same time. A wide scope of additional structural behaviors explain the influences of the built-up square tubular beam-column parameters, such as the width-thickness ratios and slenderness ratios of the columns.
