Feedback Control for Vibration Attenuation in an ER Engine Mount

This paper predents vibration control performance of an ER engine mount. The dymaic model is constructed by considering Bingham property of ER fluid. The field-dependent system performance is evaluated in the sense of dynamic stiffness in frequency domain. In addition, the vibration isolation effectiveness is demonstrated in time domain showing substantially-reduced transmissibility between input excitation and transmitted vibration magnitude.
