초록

The crosstalk of the arrayed-waveguide grating device is excellently suppressed by controlling the grating order (m) for a given propagation constant difference between the fundamental and the higher modes within waveguide. The transmission characteristics of two AWGs for two grating orders, m=67 and 76, show the different shape of the side lobe in free spectral range, respectively. The position shift of the side lobe for crosstalk was 8.6nm in the fabricated InP-AWG. We could know that it was similar closely with manufactured result when we compared with calculated result.
