우울군과 정상군에서의 기억책략의 차이
초록
Background: A lot of depressive patients complain of memory impairment. Studies report that the depressive emotional situation obstructs a resource allocation of the assignment in memory process. Objectives: This study is designed to testify the difference that how the normal person and depressive person process the information in memory performance. Methods: A total of 8 subjects, between the ages of 35 to 55 participted in one of two groups: four in depression group and four in nondepressed group. The Beck Depressive Inventory was used to ensure careful and relible assignment to the groups. Seoul Verbal Learning Test was administered to all subjects. The design of this experiment is three-way mixed design of 2(Group: depressive gorup/normal group) X 2(Measure value: recall/categoryzation) X 4(Operation number: First/Second/Third/delayed) Results: This experiments shows that depressive group categorized and recalled fewer target words than that in normal group. As operation number increased, the depressive group did not differ statistically with respect to categorization and recall. On the other hand, in the normal group, as operation number increased, categorization and recall was more increased. Conclusion: This experiment show that depressive gorup processed in linear way but normal gorup processed in categorical way when they encoded target words. And depressive group leads to poor recall and categrization than normal group, as operation time and number goes. Depression may result in the reduced recall due to the deficiency in elaborlative encoding of distinct processes such as categorization, organization.
