Foreign Investments in Asia after the Asian Economic Crisis

In this paper, I have looked into the changing nature of foreign investments in Asia in the 1990s, especially since the Asian financial crisis in July 1997, to capture new trends and characteristics. In particular, I have investigated the supply and demand conditions of foreign investments that have been changed in Asia after the crisis in section II. From this, new characteristics of foreign investments, which were formed after the crisis have been derived in section III. Next, implications of these changes on industrial structure, financial stability, and ultimately on growth of these economies have been explored in section IV. Finally, I have explored the future prospects of foreign investments in this region.
