다이아몬드 구성의 도해(圖解)를 통한 근대건축 공간구축에 관한 연구

초록

Painting and architecture have been constantly interacting with each other since the past, in particular, De Stijl, a modern painting movement, and the aspects of modern architecture are very prominent. De Stijl's leading painters, Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesburg, built their own pictorial domain within the group, but criticized each other's concepts in their respective pictorial composition. Especially 'diagonal confrontation', which was an critical and important event that significantly reversed the view of spatial composition in modern architecture. This paper looks at the concepts that were at odds with their pictorial 'composition' and seeks to find out the meaning of composition in modern painting and how the transition from modern architecture to construction was made.
