Efficient Cooperative Caching Scheme for Mobile Multimedia Content Centric Networks

To meet the explosive growth of multimedia content demand, research activities are increasingly focused on information-oriented Internet architecture such as Named Data Networking (NDN) over existing host-based Internet architecture. The NDN provides inherent support for en-route caching mechanism, in which the first cache having the requested content responds with its cached copy along the path of the content request. In en-route caching mechanism, every NDN router makes impartial caching selections and is ignorant of content cached in close by routers. Hence, to ensure the efficient utilization of cache in NDN networks, we propose a Coalition game-based cooperative cashing scheme, in which each NDN router share its cached data and coordinate its caching decisions.
