?Black Plate Pigments for Autonomous Driving Paint Application

초록

In this study, plate-type hollow black titania (PT/HBT) is synthesized as a pigment for high NIR reflectance in autonomous driving paint. The synthesis uses a sol?gel process to deposit titania with controlled shell thickness onto plate-type templates, followed by acid etching to form hollow structures. The sodium borohydride reduction converts Ti4+ to Ti3+/Ti2+, resulting in black titania with improved optical properties. Among the samples, PT/HBT with a 140 nm shell (PT/HBT-140) exhibits a blackness of L* = 13.3 and an high NIR reflectance above 20.0% at 905 nm with hydrophilic paint. The enhanced reflectance arises from internal scattering at titania/air interfaces and the hollow structure. The plate-type morphology provides superior spreadability and durability. Accordingly, PT/HBT-140 is a promising black plate pigement for autonomous driving paint application. - 본 연구는 정부(과학기술정보통신부)의 재원으로 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아 수행된 연구임 (RS-2025-16070620).?
