초록

The aim of this study is to propose guidelines for the District Unit Plans under way of establishment in the City of Incheon. The area of Bupyeong Subway Station was chosen for the case study and research was made for the possibility of the amelioration of structural and functional situation of the sectors with regards to the role of the subway station and the underground shopping mall as core of attraction in the given area. The problem of poor status of the pedestrian environment of the underground facilities and inadequacy of the connections between the underground and the ground level walking network as one of the main defects hindering the reasonable development of the area. With the result of the study revealing the necessity of enlargement of the layout of the existing street blocks sizes together with the integration of the small parcels into bigger plots possible for the construction of large-scale buildings, general resume of the characteristics and possible guides for the plan was given in a form of table as conclusion.
