Design of a 5.2GHz/2.4GHz CMOS Dual band Frequency Synthesizer for WLAN

This paper describes the design of a dual band FS(Frequency Synthesizer) with a standard 0.25um CMOS process to generate 5.2GHz/2.4GHz. The proposed FS is able to generate a v2.4GHz frequency from a 5.2GHz output frequency of VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator) by using the SCA (Switched Capacitor Array) and the divider-by-2.
